How Stocks are Selected

When selecting stocks for the index, Free-Float Market Capitalization is taken into consideration. This means only the shares available to the public are used for the calculation.

Liquidity and Listing Requirements

Liquidity: Companies must possess high liquidity, meaning their shares are traded frequently and can be easily bought or sold.
Listing Period: Generally, a minimum listing period is required; however, large IPOs may qualify for eligibility sooner.

Structure and Maintenance

Economic Representation: The index is constructed to maintain a balance across diverse sectors, reflecting the overall national economy.
Semi-Annual Review: The index is reviewed twice a year.
Relevance: By removing underperforming companies and adding strong ones, the index is kept fresh and relevant.
